Apple Crisp?

Now that I am living far from the comforts of my mother's cooking and am attempting to become the domestic goddess I know I can be, I have been on the hunt for a recipe card box! These ones from Rifle Paper Co. are so cute. OK, so I guess I don't need a $120 recipe card box but each of these boxes is unique and is crafted from locally salvaged hardwood during a 3 month process. I like the Type design, do you have a preference?

Parliament

When I received a text from my friend to check out a home decor/interior design store called Parliament because the interior of the store reminded her of my work in progress townhouse, I knew I had have a visit. I was not disappointed. The walls are as white as powdered icing sugar and its concrete floors and large windows give the space a lofty feel. The store is named for a group of owls and is the inspiration behind its bright blue mascot who watches over the space. I fell in love with its cool tones, hints of blue and use of mirrors and glass. It is no surprise that this 4400 sq. foot beauty was featured in June's edition of Canadian House and Home. If you are wondering the streets of Gastown I would definitely recommend a visit. love.

I Heart Vancouver

I love this poster I found on Etsy by LakeJane. It is a contemporary use of font, text and colour and looks great framed in a simple Ikea frame. It's a great way to pay tribute to the parts of the city you like the most. You can purchase it as is or add/remove specific areas to make it more personal. I think this would look great in my den!

Eternal Dreamer

I am a procrastinator; everyone who knows me well knows this but I have finally taken the plunge and started this blog. I have always wanted a place where I can document the things that inspire me on a daily basis. I am an eternal dreamer. I longingly look at beautiful things and imagine how ideas, textures, colours can be transformed, paired, implemented, and built upon.

Let me start with this genius and beautiful idea for table legs. What a way to add interest and elegance to your event. I may just have to find a way to use this...hmm...cocktail party anyone?
